If you’re looking for a quick and easy lunch idea for kids then you need to try these Airfryer Sausage Rolls.
Made with just four ingredients, they use mini wraps instead of pastry. Much simpler to make and little healthier too.
I cooked these in the airfryer but I also have instructions below for cooking them in the oven.
They make the perfect lunch for kids served with chopped veggies.
Which Air Fryer Is The Best?
There’s so many different air fryers out there on the market at the moment. Some of the big brand names are expensive but I have been using this Uten 6.5 Litre Air Fryer since last year and I love it.
It’s really big, perfect for family sized meals and fits a whole chicken too!
How To Make Airfyer Sausage Rolls
The first step is to add the sausages to the airfryer and cook for 12 minutes.
Next brush some beaten egg onto a mini wrap.
Place the cooked sausage onto the wrap and roll it up tightly.
Cut off the ends of the wrap from either side to give a neat finish.
Place the sausage rolls into the airfryer and brush with a little more egg on top.
Finish off with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and cook for a further 6 minutes.
Oven Instructions
The instructions for the oven are the same, it’s just the cooking time which will vary.
Cook the sausages in the oven at 180c for 15 minutes and then cook the wrapped up sausage rolls for 8-10 minutes.
Substitutions
Sausages – I used turkey sausages but any type of sausage will work just fine – pork, beef, chicken or veggie.
If you use a higher fat sausage like pork then drain them on some kitchen paper before adding them to the wraps.
Egg – Instead of egg you can use milk.
Sesame Seeds – These can be substituted for poppy seeds or just left out completely.
